What You Should Know about Joining Fitness Boot Camps

Have you heard of fitness boot camps?  If you have practically tried every kind of diet programs imaginable, you are likely familiar with these classes.  There are many people who have discovered the benefits they’d get out of these camps.  Many prefer these over gyms.  Many people also prefer joining these classes than exercising at home.  Over the past several years, this trend has created a money-making industry.

What are Fitness Boot Camps?

These are actually classes that meet several times a week for an hour of power-packed workout sessions.  This program has attracted people and has driven people to joining these sessions. 

Often, the classes will start with warm-up exercises that are performed in groups.  As the one-hour class progresses, the exercises become more difficult.  This continues until the class is finished.  This may seem really exhausting and taxing at first.  But once you start reaping the benefits, you will enjoy joining these classes.  Of course, there are some people who eventually drop out of the class.  They find it difficult to keep up.  This is why it is advisable that you first visit your healthcare provider before you actually join fitness boot camps.  You could place your health in danger if you don’t.

Who Can Join These Camps?

One thing is for sure, fitness boot camps are not for people who are fainthearted.  These classes are really harsh.  Even the instructors are often harsh.  You will hear the instructors shouting orders, yelling at people and reprimanding slackers.  Often, these instructors are retired army or navy personnel.  You can even get punished for coming in late.  The ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone in the class gets maximum workout.

Classes may be held in open space like beaches or parks.  Of course, there are some classes that are held in rented spaces.  There are special classes for women and children, so you can look for them as well.  If you are on a tight budget, you should reconsider joining these camps because they can cost you about $250 for a 20-hour session.  However, if you have the money to spare, you will definitely enjoy joining these classes because you will certainly lose weight.

Majority of people who have experienced fitness boot camps have only good things to say about their classes.  They are quite satisfied with the results.  If you are quite busy and you don’t have the time for regular exercises, your best option is to join these camps.  You just have to make sure that you are healthy enough for the harsh workouts.
